I had written a post on the problems I have encountered with my two main employers in terms of the accuracy of pension refunds, but I decided to save it as a draft pending the outcome of the reviews I have requested. If no action is forthcoming, the post will go back up.

According to The Korea Times, (via The Marmot’s Hole), volunteering by legally-employed foreigners is now deemed to be prohibited if the volunteering has not first been sanctioned by the authorities:
Foreigners may face deportation or fines if they volunteer at orphanages or organize performances without reporting them to the authorities.
