Welcome to the inaugural post of “Seoul Hero”! The purposes of this blog are already detailed in the “About the Blog” section of the sidebar. The blog marks a new beginning for me. So much has changed in the last year and a half–you can read about those changes in the “About Me” section, also on the sidebar. I consider myself very fortunate: I am experiencing a new career path and way of life, developing new teaching and website design skills, and, most importantly, experiencing a new life together with my fiancee, Chae Young, with a new family to follow in due course–all this has given me a sense of becoming more fully human. I am getting married next month, on Christmas Day.

Family, and friends, especially Brian, Ian, Rob, Jen & Lyle, as well as others, particularly my adult students, have supported, loved, and encouraged me. I miss them, but am thankful for both email and internet, which allow one to keep in touch so much better than was possible before.

The new page looks good and makes me want to rush out and learn how to actually do HTML myself. Anyhow, should I replace old links with links here, or are you still going to be updating the old page as well?

  2. Nathan:

Thanks, Wyatt! I’ve just finished the old blog. I will be posting here from now on.

    Nathan,

What a great website. I hardly recognized you! I’m thrilled you’ve made the change. Being the first year ESL teacher that I am, I’m sure I will eventually make that change from blogger to moveable type, or some other platform. You gotta love the ability to categorize! Anyway, I first read you when started dating Che Young; and now you’re happily married with a child on the way. Awesome! Good luck and keep it real ~ fellow blogger!
